The #1 rule of the Ozarks is Distance is Relative! When the question how far is somewhere, the answer is nearly always given in how long it will take you to get there. The distance in miles does not account for our hills and curves, visitors driving 45 while admiring our scenic beauty, or Silver Dollar City and music show traffic. Sometimes the long way around is the quickest. There is also a big difference in amenities in the different Tri-Lakes regions. Some offer an abundance of entertainment, some offer a small-town vibe, some offer easy access to major medical facilities, and all offer the natural beauty of the Ozarks lakes.

Branson/Hollister

Lake Taneycomo is our cold water lake which has more of a “river” feel. While at an average temperature of approximately 53 degrees, it is not conducive for swimming or skiing, it is a prime lake for record trout fishing and kayaking. With Branson on the northside of Taneycomo and Hollister on the south, their neighboring communities are very intertwined. Branson focuses on the entertainment aspect of the area, while Hollister focuses more on business and industry. Both have historic districts that offer shopping and unique dining experiences, and both have easy access to top-notch healthcare.

East 76

The area east of Branson is much more rural and offers more choices for buyers looking for small acreages or farms. Much of our local population lives in this direction. Bull Shoals Lake is highly valued for its variety and abundance of fish and has much less pleasure boat traffic than Table Rock Lake.

Kimberling

Located to the northwest of Branson, the hills are a little bigger and therefore the lake views are fabulous! Kimberling City offers many well-established subdivisions and a large retiree population. Hwy 13 offers easy access to Springfield, but you do have to contend with Silver Dollar City traffic if coming to Branson.

Ridgedale

The south side of Table Rock Lake is known as being one of the most desirable areas, due to its proximity to Hwy 65, multiple marinas, and Johnny Morris’ world-class golf courses and resorts. This area offers everything from condos & luxury homes to retirement communities.

West Table Rock

Known as the quiet side of the lake, the western area of Table Rock has small communities, much less lake traffic, and easy access to Springfield. This area has a population of retirees and weekend homes and is approximately an hour from Branson.
